Under 14s lose at Hazel Grove

Our Under 14s travelled to Hazel Grove on 9th July and played in super conditions on a lovely course and escaping all of the thunder and lightning forecasts. Our team lost 6-3. Six of Hazel Grove’s team were guests from our U14s and our development squad.

All matches were played in a great spirit and a great experience for 2 of Hazel Grove’s players, Jayden Tommy & Josh Hall, who had never played against the County before.

Special thanks go to our President, Tony and his wife, Linda, who both spent the day with us, supporting all of the players. This is one-day after they went to Workington to support the men’s team, which is much appreciated.

Our thanks went to HGGC, Kathy Glazier and Rob McCann, for organising the event and making us so welcome. They both received a small gift from the CUGC. Additionally we’d like to thank Stuart Laing and our no 1 supporter, Bob Hamilton for their help and support on the day. Parents too were thanked for their valuable contribution.
