Bronte Law, Bramhall GC, Cheshire and English star and three-time Ladies European Tour (LET) winner has been appointed Vice-Captain of the European team for the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup.
The 30-year-old will support close friend and captain Anne van Dam when the competition heads to the Netherlands for the very first time.
Bronte began her golf at Avro GC before moving to Bramhall GC where she developed into a top player under the coaching of their pro Richard Green.
Bronte still visits Bramhall GC whenever she is free and has presented the Bronte Law Trophy for the Bramhall ladies to play for in one of their top competitions and she always comes down to present the trophy to the winner each year.
Bronte has her own celebration section on the entry to the club showing her success over the years at all levels of golf across the world.
Bronte said: “It’s such a huge honour to be named vice-captain of the European team for the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup’, said Bronte. ‘
“To be alongside Anne, a close friend and someone I’ve shared incredible memories with both the Junior Solheim Cup and in celebrating Europe’s victory at Gleneagles in 2019, makes it even more special.”
Bronte is no stranger to team competitions on the amateur stage having represented Great Britain & Ireland at three Curtis Cups (2012, 2014, 2016).
In-between these appearances she also competed at the 2013 PING Junior Solheim Cup alongside the likes of van Dam, Georgia Hall and Emily Kristine Pedersen.
Van Dam added: ‘I’m so happy to have Bronte as vice-captain. We’ve shared so many special moments together in the Solheim Cup, and I know how much passion and experience she’ll bring to the team.
“She’s an incredible role model for young players, and having her by my side in the Netherlands will mean so much – not just to me, but to every player representing Europe.”
Since turning professional, Bronte has had an illustrious career winning three times on the LET and once on the LPGA Tour.
In 2019, she earned a Captain’s pick for the European Solheim Cup team where she earned two points as her side reclaimed the famous trophy.
Aside from her own success, Bronte is also a strong advocate for girls’ golf in England having launched the Bronte Law Junior Series in 2024. The competition is open to all girls eligible to play for England, with the aim of increasing younger players’ competitive experiences that are WAGR (World Amateur Golf Rankings)-ranked.
The Championship course will stage the two-day competition at the beginning of the Solheim Cup week.
The decision marks the first time in history that the same course has hosted both the PING Junior Solheim Cup and Solheim Cup.
Twelve of Europe’s brightest young female golfers aged 18 and under will be vying to win the trophy back against the USA a few days before the main event in the Netherlands.
