Cheshire Ladies Centenary Rose Bowl – Prestbury Ladies rule the roost at Warrington

The Cheshire Ladies Centenary Rose Bowl for Teams of Three were given a treat at wonderful Warrington GC.

There were 19 teams in the competition from nine members clubs and they enjoyed a superb course, friendly and efficient hospitality, the usual warm Warrington welcome and avoiding heavy showers for most of the day.

Providing immaculate administration in a long day were Cheshire Techo wizards Fiona Walton and Judith Wainwright in a very exiting competition

The top two Stableford scores on each hole provided the final aggregate and just three points separated the top six teams.

Leading in with 83 were Prestbury’s Liz Thomas, Gillian Singh and Ellen Cain to lift the Centenary Rose Bowl.

Just a point off their hot pace were Bramhall’s Chris Kelly, Rosemarie Horton and Lynda Skilton who won a cpo from Prestbury’s Tracy McGregor, Victoria Howarth and Gilly O’Neill and Sandiway’s Carol Dodd, Lyn Shopland and Julie Dunn.

The 3rd place team of Tracy, Gilly and Victoria.

There were plenty of Cheshire Ladies golf legends, past and present enjoying a great day of competitive and friendly golf at a superb venue in the heart of the county.
