Golf legend visits historic Chorlton

CHORLTON Golf Club has hosted many county competitions over the years with players enjoying their historic and unique Barlow Hall clubhouse which dates back to the 13th century, providing a perfect retreat after the exertions out on the golf course.
It has plenty of stories from over the years with its pristine and tricky golf course adding to the club’s great reputation.
It was enjoyed by a recent visitor and golfing legend Bernard Gallagher, a Ryder Cup Captain three times including a memorable win at Bay Hill.
Bernard visited the club to do a short video supporting Golf Care and was delighted with the club, its history and the warm welcome he received.
Bernard said: “I enjoyed my visit to Chorlton GC and I was a bit surprised I haven’t come across the club during my many visits to that part of the world.
“The brief filming went well and I would like to give a big thank you to the friendly staff and I even had time to meet a few members in the car park before I departed for home.
“I would like to give my best wishes to the club and all at Cheshire Golf Union who do such a great service for golf.
