Lymm Golf Club were again impeccable hosts for the Cheshire Junior Team Championships with a field of over 100 players enjoying a pristine course, top class hospitality and a warm welcome from all of their staff and members on and off the course giving top class support.
The day was also blessed with excellent weather and there was some terrific golf played from junior club teams across the county aiming to make the national finals which will be held at Spalding GC, Lincolnshire, in August.
The aggregate Stableford score from the top two players in a team count on the day with a third player’s score being used if the scores are tied.
It was a close finish with Warrington GC’s team of Ray Fogg, Will Percival and Rhys Cartledge who led in with Rhys posting a fantastic 53 points with Will adding 29 for a winning score of 82.
It was just enough to edge out Lymm’s first team of Alfie Coe, Dominic Duff and Sam Berry by a point.

Next in on 79 were the Delamere Forest A team of Pierce Freeman, Jonah and Carter Ashworth.
They were one ahead of the Astbury Girls team of Missy Jai Green 37, Emilia Gravett 31 and Naomi Williams 40.
Rhys Cartledge was the top individual with 53 points followed by Lee Waterhouse (Romiley) who won a cpo from Alfie Coe (Lymm) on 42, one more than Max Colclough (Alsager).
The presentation saw Cheshire President John Heggarty and Lymm Captain Andy Timms give deserved praise to all at Lymm for their great support and help, the hard-working Cheshire officials, parents and supporters and finally the players for making this another very special day for junior golf in Cheshire.
